STUDENT SELF-ASSESSMENT OF UKULELE LEARNING OBJECTIVES AND GOALS
This is a half sheet self-assessment exit ticket to give students at the end of each ukulele class. There are standards-based "I CAN" statements at the bottom of the page and a blank next to each statement. Students will rate where they currently are with their learning of ukulele by scoring the stated skills on a scale of 1-4:
1= I cannot do this yet, even with help.
2= I can do this, but only with help OR I can only do some of the skills listed without help.
3= I can do all the skills listed without help.
4= I can do all the skills listed independently plus additional skills more difficult that what is listed here.
This is a great way for students to concretely evaluate their skill level so they can track their progress and improvement and see what skills they need to continue improving. This helps students keep goals in mind for their learning throughout the unit. Self-reflection helps get students to higher ordered levels of thinking and metacognition.
